When you turn in a character sheet to our game you are agreeing to these rules. Failure to comply with these rules will have you banned from our game. Ignorance of these rules are not an excuse not to use common sense and following them anyway! Peter's version is here, Joy's is below in a "translated" version...
THE COMMANDMENTS OF THINE LORD ADMIN!
Thou shalt not flame (Nota Bene: Flaming is insults, or defamation of character, out of character.)
Thou shalt remember the staff art mine hands, and mine eyes. Treat them as thou wouldst treat me. If thou doth not do so, we shalt have problems.
In the case of a problem, thou shalt approach the Holy Hosts of the staff via the mechanism of a private message, concisely explaining problems, with any evidence related to it. Thou shalt -NOT- approach them in any other manner, as it is terrible form, and quite rude.
Thou shalt follow the commandments of the Proboards Terms of Service, for thou hast no protection from the Overgods from me, and they shalt punish me as well, and then I shalt smite thee with all my power.
Thou shalt make a strong effort to be active. If the staff doth not here from thee in a month, thine character shall be tossed into the VOOOOOOOOID, and re-application will be necessary.
Thou shalt run a spellcheck, and grammar check on thy post.
Thou shalt not hound others for posts unless they are in violation of the rules above.
Thou shalt remember the time period of this forum as thou posts.
Thou shalt not Godmode, or Powerplay in thy posts, on pain of smiting.
Godmoding art the act of being invincible, and unable to be harmed. Thou may have a great deal of speed, but thou art not unable to be touched. Thou should not say thou automatically hits, for thou art following the ‘Orthodox Combat Rules’.
Powerplaying art the act of wanting to win all the time. A well played loss art far more satisfying than a poorly played victory. Thou wilst not be killed without thine consent, but thou must also be fair in the situation. Thou must recognize when thou has lost, and remove thyself from the character. The Lord-Admin was cruelly hunted across a continent, and had a character whom he loved mercilessly slain. But the death was what prodded him to become a better roleplayer. He owes much to the death of Selferas, and will never forget him. When thou must lose a character, learn well, and give them a final farewell post. If thou never rises above anything else, rise to this challenge, and make it special. That art the last chance you have to make the Holy Hosts appreciate that character. If thou does a truly exceptional job, thou will be rewarded.
Also of note art Bunnying, which art the act of controlling another player’s character. Do not do so without permission, lest thou be smote. (Nota Bene: This is not through Telepathy, but just doing so Out of Character.)
Thou shalt keep in mind, that if thou hast not read the commandments of the Holy Hosts, thou ist afforded no protection from thy ignorance, and wilt be treated as if thou had read them anyways.
