Ability to animate statues, models, or other objects that resemble living beings.
Beginning Mutations:
Statue/model animation and control: when using this power electrical bolts surge over his body and into the item that is to be animated.
Lightning discharge: Vlad is able to project electricity from his arms; and can only reach about ten feet with the bolts.
Electrogeneration: Vlad's electricity is generated from his own body; starting with it surging from his chest and quickly coursing over his body. As well the lightning is currently as strong as a defibrillator machine. Though if he focuses he can put less energy into the bolts to do less damage to the target. If Vlad strikes an appliance with the lightning he can in essence cause it to explode.
How the mutations will grow and develop potentially down the road:
Animation: More/larger objects can be animated, made to relay a recorded message, animated objects can move further distances away from Vlad. Able to animate more objects of different materials.
Lightning: can be sent out at further distances and with more control.
Other: The two abilities can be merged to animate from a short distance.
Drawbacks of the Mutations, Weakness or ties in to other “problems” listed above and how that equals out what you have to begin with:
Animation: Limited to stone/solid clay and wood. The animated object must stay in his eyesight or else it will stop in the next minute. Vlad currently must touch the object to animate it. Without anything to animate or without the use of his lightning Vlad is about as powerful as a normal human who exercises regularly. Currently Vlad can only animate six items at once.

HISTORY OF THE CHARACTER:.
Vlad was born to a poor couple living just on the Russian border near Romania. Vlad's father was a mechanic and his mother was a housekeeper for another family. And by the time he was in middle school the boy had become employed at a restaurant as a bus person to help his family pay the bills on their home. As he reached high school Vlad became interested in sculpting and other art forms.
In addition to helping support his family Vlad had managed to save up enough money for college with an art major. But as he was away from home Vlad's parents had passed away when they had gone to a loan shark to help with bills; and fell behind on a payment. When the young man learned of this event he fell into a depression that became fueled by alcohol. Which has gotten him a few fights and a little hands on self defense skills training.
One night when at a bar Vlad had gotten in a fight with a number of people. Through the first half of the fight Vlad had been on the losing side; but the stressful event was enough to trigger the emergence of a dormant mutant ability. At that moment an array of lightning bolts coursed over his body and into a number of the men who were beating him and gave him the chance to run to safety. Since that night Vlad has begun to practice with his newfound powers; and learned through trial and error that he can animate statues and similar objects through touch.
The emergence of these powers were enough to help Vlad get over his depression, as if he was suddenly reenergized. And with that he finished his art degree and found that it was little help in earning a living; and as such has begun to study in the biological field as well as studying up on what few books he could find on animation of objects; that didn't seem to be just for entertainment. Currently Vlad supports himself with a few sculpting jobs with a wait staffing job for more consistent monetary income.

Vladimir walked out of the restaurant as the moon shown brightly from between a pair of large storm clouds that threatened to release a torrent of rain down on the earth below. His uniform's shirt was unbuttoned to reveal a tight black tee shirt and he held the tie in his left hand with a half eaten burger in his right. A pair of the waitresses waved Vlad off as he passed them before they returned to their conversation between themselves. But at the same time another man approached the dark doors of the restaurant and pulled at the handles to enter but met resistance from the locks. Which got the attention of the youngest waitress; an attractive girl with a plush white purse, her uniform shirt untucked and slightly brighter makeup applied to her face to match her energetic disposition, "I'm sorry.~ We're closed maybe you can stop by earlier tomorrow for something to eat.~"
The waitress' tone of voice must have grated on the man's nerves or it could have been that the comment did not apply in the slightest to what the man's intentions were. Because as the man turned to her he pulled out a knife and spoke to her in a gravely tone of voice, "Let me in there now or which ever of you has the cash for the night hand it over." And with that the man began to walk towards the waitresses.
Now the younger waitress lived a more sheltered life than most and instantly began to cry at the possible threat of being hurt and mugged while the other woman began to step back as she prepared to run away, which caught Vlad's attention even though he was across the parking lot and cutting through a fast food chain's playground. Now the man looked to the scene and saw the mugger and let out a groan of annoyance as he began to tap into his abilities and the crackle of electricity could be heard. As he began to return to the restaurant Vlad let his hands tap a number of the statues in the 'playground' to make the ceramic figures come to life. It was only a few seconds more before Vlad and his 'army' made it to the altercation; and the animator cleared his throat to get the mugger's attention.
"You stay out of this or else you will get hurt you little..." Was all the mugger could say before he turned to see a ceramic clown with bright red hair staring at him with a large smile; and a number of other similar statues walking up towards him.
And then Vlad's voice could be heard from behind the clown, "Grown man killed by fast food. That sound like a good epitaph to you? No? I think you should wander off then.~" And with that Vlad stepped into view and let more electricity surge over his body and he tossed away his burnt tie away before launching a bolt of lightning up at the storm clouds; and while it didn't reach the clouds they just so happened to let out a rumble of thunder and a flash of their own lightning. Now this oddly disturbing scene was enough to make not only the mugger run off but also the waitresses which left Vlad alone. "Just great. The damsels ditch the knight..." And so Vlad resumed his walk home as the rain began to fall.
