Personality:
Yuki comes across as being pretty clear as ice when it comes to her emotions. She's cheerful and happy, but keeps a calm sort of attitude nonetheless. She's happy in a quiet sort of way, and can is rather determined. She pulls strength from people around her, so when they're in good moods (natural or not) or something she brings out in others, it seems to stick with them like ice on a cold day, almost creating a feedback loop of positivity.
Just because she's determined, doesn't mean it's an obsessive, or compulsive type of determination. Instead it's actually her nature. She's got willpower like a glacier on the ocean, calm, but sturdy and never failing. This girl is unafraid of emotions, and her strength derives from the fact she has a calm, rational and critical mind. Readily adapting to any situation that's thrown at her, she practically embodies ice, water and steam as is needed.
In the case of a new situation, or meeting new people, Ice hides behind a mask in order to analyze the person/situation before fully opening up to them. She's not distant, or a stand-off kind of person, she's simply cautions and wanting to make sure the person or situation harbors no danger towards her. Like an ever-flowing river, she avoids conflict and the people that would cause it, preferring to change course rather than hit it head on like a wave crashing on a shore.
What really gets to Yukiko, is rejection. She's out there and very extroverted once she gains a friendship, but if someone were to say break off any and all contact with her, she'd sink like a stone in a lake into a deep depression which is definitely not something anyone would expect from such an outgoing person. She uses this time to figure out went wrong (whether it was hers, or the other person's fault) and after a short stint of depression, she's like a clear lake on a sunny day, ready to be herself again.

Gentle Winter's Snow
Beginning Mutations:
Cryo-Kinesis- From ice, to snow, Yukiko is able to do many a thing with her Cryo-Kinesis, she can flash-freeze,call down blizzards, use ice breath, and has the ability to manipulate snow and ice into various forms. She can also create a wall of ice to ‘teleport’ from point a to point b (she moves so fast it’s nearly impossible to see her),and can create ice statues of herself so she can get out of the way.
Sub-ability Cryo-generation-
Yukiko has an underlying ability to turn the temperature to an utterly devastating -200 degrees celsius. Due to the absolutely killing nature of this ability, she will rarely go below -40, which can cause frostbite if the skin is exposed. Unless of course she has the time to kill someone, but it is not an instantaneous ability unlike her flash-freeze which can instantly kill.

The more Yukiko uses her powers, the more cold, ruthless and dangerous she gets. It’s like a part of her, the part that has her humanity, is locked away for a certain period of time (This period of time depends on how much she uses her powers). After a ‘cool down’ period she has ‘warmed back up’ is back to her normal cheerful and happy self.

HISTORY OF THE CHARACTER:
Her father was the one that named her. Kuroi Yukiko. Her mother had no say in her child's choice as Masaya had decided beforehand what to call their first child. Anna, who was American, and a very sweet woman allowed Masaya to do what he chose with the child, and this wound up with Yukiko being quite the daddy's girl as she grew older. Her mother would watch from afar, content in the fact that Masaya had a child to care for while Anna worked. Masaya was a stay-at-home dad, and doted on his beautiful blonde haired, brown-eyed daughter and spoiled her quite a bit. Anything Ice ever wanted, she got. She started school as a normal child. Her grades were rather good, ranging between c's and bs. However her father was a perfectionist and demanded the young girl do better. This of course put un-needed pressure on Ice and her grades began to falter which resulted in punishments and her getting things taken away, despite her trying her hardest.
She was beginning to crumple under the constant pressure. Finally her father had had enough and gave up on her and started treating her like nothing more than a burden and stopped even paying attention to her. By the time she was 12, she was a wreck. Doing her best to please two parents that paid no attention to her. Finally, she snapped, having had enough and her emotions went haywire for the first and only time, it was this fateful day that her powers showed.
Her Cryo-Kinesis reared it's ugly head and flash-froze her parents, instantly killing them. Torn as to what she should do, Ice made the mistake of calling the police and telling them exactly what happened. Sirens wailed all the way to her house, and she was immediately apprehended by the X-Men before the police got there and she was taken to the X-school, so she could learn to better utilize her powers and control them. Even after all this time however, she still cannot completely control them. However, due to being in classes and being around people with similar problems, she has learned to not let the past haunt her, and has decided to try and live life to it's fullest, because getting depressed wasn't getting her anywhere, she’s learned that her parents’ death was not her fault.

Ice couldn’t believe the idiots that roamed around this school. They were loud, boisterous and quite rude. Her Ice-blue gaze narrowed as she walked down the hallways to the dining area. Her stomach had been growling since last class. She’d eaten at breakfast but she was absolutely ravenous. Her hair was pulled into a low ponytail. To be honest, even after all this time it still shocked her when she looked into the mirror. She had been born blonde-haired and brown-eyed. Now her hair was as white as the snow outside, and her eyes were an intense shade of blue. She stumbled slightly, stepping out of her black shoes on accident.
Cursing mentally to herself, she slipped them back on. At least she was semi-alone at the moment. Most were still in classes, but Ice had ducked out early in order to get something to eat. She really had to get more food in her sometimes, for she rarely ate, most of the time it was because she wasn’t even hungry. However today she was feeling particularly peckish. Once in the dining area, she fixed herself a sandwich and sat down. She dearly hoped no one would bother her. She disliked eating around others. She reminded herself to keep her emotions in check. She honestly could not afford to lose control of them, or her powers, even now would go insane.
