It had been half an hour since the events that had led him to the cathedral he was standing in. He had met three, well, interesting people, a holy man named George, a young woman named Maeve, and a little baby called Charles. However, he still had not idea on how he got to this time, travelling back from the year twenty three fifty. Not only that he was, supposedly, jumped several dimensions as well. He had a couple of theories, but, he was not a world class scientist, so, it was doubtful any of his theories were actually correct. However, he would try his best to figure out what the hell was going on. Until then, he supposed, he would use this cathedral as some kind of home base. 

After his encounter with Maeve and the little chat they had, he had decided to go take a look around the place, get to know his surroundings and what not. He had yet to venture upstairs yet, making sure that he knew the current floor well. He had pulled out a scanner from his bracer, one of the three devices he had from his time and dimension. It was nothing major, it was a joke gift from his little sister Helena, since he liked to know areas well. It was an accessory for the bracer, which came with an application to install in the arm mounted piece of tech he had. It scanned the walls and surroundings and made a holographic 3D map of the areas he scanned. So, far he had gotten about seventy five percent of the building A scanned and mapped. 

So, as he walked around he had the scanner, which actually looked like an old fashioned pen light, except for the fact, as, he pressed the button the device did not emit a single beam of light, but a mass of crossbeams that ran over the walls, floors and anything that it was around the surrounding area. He smiled as he walked around, thinking that he could possible map out the base floor before anyone could get to the cathedral, if anyone else would come. However, he knew other would come, since, Maeve and himself did, so, why would this phenomena stop at just one guy, one girl and a baby. So, he thought, it might be good for the others, if there was a working map of the area, so, they could get to know it well, for the same reasons he did. 

As made way around building a, he thought about what area to go through next. He also wondered if there were any other people coming, and when they were going to come. He, as stated before, doubted that himself, Maeve and little Charles would be the only ones. However, little did he knew that there were already people within the cathedral, outside of the holy man, himself, Maeve and Charles. He thought about where to go next, and thought, it would be best to take care of each building at a time. However, he might just find that someone was about to appear that would make him take a little break from his scanning of the surrounding area of the buildings. Whether it was going to be a good thing, or a bad thing was yet to be determined.

So it took Karrl a while to scan things and make his way through different rooms... and it'd be his choice to investigate the odd heat signature that would show up on his scans coming from the third floor where the furniture and such was stored. That blurp of course, was Hiko. Now wearing slacks a size to big and shirtless. He was mostly dry now though and his black hair was sticking up pretty epically to the left side and up. Not down, Up. The entire mass of it.

He was balanced precariously on one of the stacks of boxes sorting through them aimlessly. Every once in a while he'd throw a shirt or a skirt or various men and women's clothing down into a smaller pile towards the door. He wasn't watching, so it's entirely possible that as Karrl came into the room some bit of woman's clothing (or men's clothing) hit him right in the face and draped artistically. Or not. Hard to say with flying clothes. He was muttering in japanese as he worked. And, every once in a while, a he'd pause and the shadows would condense, lifting another box away from him and putting a new one in the place.

Mutants. They were everywhere.

As Karrl made his way through the rooms of building a, it seemed it was taking a lot more time than he had expected it would. He did not mind, after all, he had nothing better to do than what he was currently doing. However, when he was on the third floor the beams slipped through a door and started to scan the area. Karrl’s eyes turned to the screen on his bracer and caught sight of something on it, that, according to Karrl, was interesting to say the least. This, interesting item, that his scanner has somehow managed to pick up, actually made Karrl stop, not because it was strange for his scanner to do this, but, what it actually picked up. His eyes furrowed as he looked at the item on the screen on his bracer.  

From the looks of things, it seemed to be a place where they stored a lot of furniture, which Karrl found amusing, having entire room to store furniture. However, that was not what he found strange about the room, there was a heat signature coming from it, and an unusual one at that. The scanner, was a map maker, but, to make it an effective one, it not only picked up the dimensions of the walls, it also scanned the items within the room. This made for a through map of the room, items and all. It also, scanned for heat signatures, for references to electronic or thermal items. Along with that, it also scanned for people. Of course, each item was an individual piece, for an easier final editing process of the map.  

What Karrl had found interesting was, that the heat signature, that he had picked up, would normally be found in a thermal item, but, instead it was found in a person. He looked at the screen on his bracer, and back at the door. He did this a few times before Karrl curiosity had, yet again, got the better of him and thought he would go explore the place. With that he walked towards the door and opened it up. However, when he stepped through the door, he was met by a lady’s, black, lacy, bra which had decided to hang itself on his head. Karrl picked up with his thumb and forefinger and looked at it for a moment, with a cheeky smile on his face, before he threw it to one side and looked around the room to see if he could find the source of the strange heat signature. 

When he found the source he had to admit, he did not expect to see what he had seen. It was a guy, wearing a pair of slacks, a bit too big for him, and no shirt. Also, it seemed that his hairstyle was another interesting feature to the guy, since, if it was not supposed to be styled like that, it was actually rather unnatural to have one’s hair standing up and to the left. Ok, it was natural to see someone’s hair standing up, but not like that. Karrl watched the guy as he rummaged through a box, which seemed to hold a variety of clothing whilst balanced in a rather dodgy nature on top of some of the other boxes that were in there. Finally, Karrl got bored of watching and cleared his throat rather dramatically, to gain the guy’s attention. Karrl was unsure about what was happening and would rather put the unsure notion to bed.

Hiko paused when he heard the noise. He straightened up over a pile of clothes and held up two dresses. When he spoke, it was in Japanese "Ah Jou-chan I wondered when you'd come to find me! Which one do you think .." He paused upon seeing Karrl. "Anno... You are not who I thought you were." He tossed both dresses over an arm and scaled down the pile of clothing. He switched to English. "Hi, I was just looking for some clothes. Were you exploring or looking for something to change into too?"

Karrl stood there in silence watching a fully grown man appear from a pile of clothes holding a pair of dresses. Karrl’s eyebrow arched slightly at the site. True, from his time it was not exactly a uncommon thing seeing a man who liked to dress in woman’s clothing, but, in this case, something told Karrl, that there was more to it than that. 

The next thing that happened made his eyebrow stay in place, the guy had started to speak in Japanese. Karrl, even though he had always wanted to, did not know the language. He could speak several languages outside of English, German, Spanish, Italian and French to be exact, but, he had never actually gotten around to learning this particular tongue. 

All of a sudden the guy stopped, Karrl assumed in mid sentence, he did not know, since he had no idea what the guy was saying. Spoke a bit more in Japanese, before he threw the two dresses over his shoulder and started to speak once more, but this time in was in English, Karrl’s home tongue. 

What he had to say was not to enlightening, he could see what he was doing, it was not exactly like Karrl was blind, but, he held his tongue none the less. However, the guy then asked him a question, whether or not he was looking for something to change into or was just exploring. He had no idea what he meant, however, that soon changed when he looked down at his own attire. 

It suddenly dawned on him, what he was wearing, well, it might not exactly be common place in this time, so, he might find out what people would wear in this day and age. However, he then realised the guy was still waiting for an answer, “Well, I was making a scan of the building, so I could make a map of it, for use in the future. However, now that you mention it, my gear might make me stand out a bit.” 

He paused for a moment or two before he could not resist the next comment, “So, did you find anything you like, or are you still picking between the two dresses.” Karrl then smirked as he cracked the joke. Karrl seemed to be settling it quickly, since, he only cracked jokes when he felt comfortable in the area he was in. However, whether or not this guy in front of Karrl would take it as a joke was another thing entirely.
